| Bo Knows NFL Legends 3 |
From McFarlane: "Our NFL Legends lineup is our most popular Sports Picks line of the year - winner of the Action Figure Award for "Best Lineup" two years running. Collectors have filled the message board with requests, and begged Todd for hints in his "ToddCasts" every week. With this much anticipation, it"d be hard to live up to our collector's cumulative expectations - but the NFL Legends 3 lineup is up to the challenge. It features a pair of explosive running backs, two of the best quarterbacks of all time, our first NFL Legends sequel figure, and arguably the game's greatest defender - who remains an honored legend in two passionate NFL cities. Enough hoopla then! McFarlane Toys is proud to present NFL Legends Series 3" My take: Just when I thought Todd had outdone himself with a Jack Bauer figure, he comes out with a freaking Bo Jackson figure. Bo is probably my all time favorite athlete (and arguably the single best athlete in the history of humanity) as evidenced by my mediocre Royals/Raiders Bo custom I did a few years back. Just for the record, Bo in Tecmo Super Bowl is without argument the single greatest video game athlete EVER...just check out this Bo Jesus video. Wohoo, now Bo knows McFarlane!

| Basketball's Greatest Card Turns 20 |
From Beckett: "Two decades ago, the most famous basketball card in history was released by Fleer - 1986-87 Fleer basketball #57 featured rookie Michael Jordan. Over the years, that card arguably has been looked at, held, graded, scrutinized for condition and generally ogled more than any card since the 1950s. This season, Upper Deck celebrates the original No. 23 and the 20th anniversary of his 1986/87 Fleer rookie card (The Upper Deck Company bought Fleer in 2005). To honor Jordan, the greatest athlete ever to wear that jersey number, the company is planning several unique promotional and product tie-ins." My take: Eh, we all know how I feel about Beckett and this damn card. Enough said.

| 18 Players Named to 2007 USA Baseball 14-Under National Team |
From Beckett: "USA Baseball announced today 18 players, 4 coaches and support staff for the 2007 USA Baseball 14-U National Team (14-under). The team will represent the United States at the North/Central American Regional Qualifying Tournament for the COPABE Pan Am "A" Championships. The qualifying tournament will be played January 20-27 in Guatemala City, Guatemala. The teams expected to participate in the event include Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua and Panama. The top four teams from the tournament will advance to the Pan Am "A" Championships to be held in November in San Juan, Puerto Rico." My take: Stop right there Beckett. Why are we reporting on the 14 and under team? Pretty soon I'll have collectibles of 12 year olds up on my site. Let's stop this where it's at before we start recruiting kids in pre-school.
